Foundations Health Helps Package Millionth Meal at Ashtabula County's Feed the Hope
September 15, 2023
Foundations Health Solutions was honored to volunteer at Ashtabula County's sixth Annual Feed the Hope event held at Our Lady Mt. Carmel Church and Community Center. This event gives food back to the Ashtabula County Country Neighbor Program, which will distribute it throughout food pantries and homeless shelters, giving back to those in the community experiencing hardships.
This year, the competition rang high as our team worked together to race against the clock and 20 other teams from local organizations like hospitals, hospice agencies, non-profits, high schools, and more. During this event, our team worked together by building boxes, filling them with non-perishable items, signing cards from sponsors, and including an inspirational message. The food items boxed included oatmeal, macaroni and cheese, pasta, tomatoes, and rice and beans. Once a box was filled, it was passed on to the Grand Valley football team who swiftly loaded them up into the truck for delivery.
The Ashtabula Foundations' buildings joined together to build a dream team of Tiffany Hommes, Brandi Franklin, and Cassie Webster of Carington Park. Olivia Petrinski, Carissa Allen, and Kim LaRusch of Saybrook Landing. Jeanne Welch, Dan Poff, and Jamie Robertson of Pine Grove. Lastly, Megan DeyErmand from BellaCare Hospice.
At Foundations Health Solutions, we are grateful for the opportunity to actively engage in meaningful initiatives like Feed the Hope. Not only did we help make an impact, but we were involved with packaging the millionth meal! Foundations couldn't be more humbled to participate in a cause that does so much for the community. As a healthcare organization deeply rooted in our communities, we understand the significance of giving back. Contributing to our communities through programs like this emphasizes our commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of those we serve.
