Welcome Home Veterans

Although the skies were gray, they began to open and the sunshine peeked through, being sure the day was perfect to celebrate the event, "Welcome Home Veterans". This is a collaboration between the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs presented by Tri Health - Hospice of Cincinnati, a commemorative partner of The United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration, recognizing the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War. This recognition ceremony was held for Vietnam Veterans at Summit Park in Blue Ash, Ohio. Most Americans wanted to forget the trauma of the Vietnam War and move on. As a result, these veterans were not welcomed home properly. This was a wonderful "welcome home" offering to remind the Vietnam Veterans that they are not forgotten.

Foundations Health Solutions was honored as a sponsor to be there and serve those who have served our country. Our regional marketing liaisons were privileged to greet and meet so many families who gave so much to us during the Vietnam War era. The ceremony held a welcome address, presentation of colors, honored members of the United States Armed Forces, honored those who are missing among us while playing Taps, a rifle ceremony, and honoring those who died in service to our country. Beautiful special performances of God Bless America, Star Spangled Banner, and America The Beautiful were enjoyed.
