Honoring Yolanda: Celebrating Her Legacy of Love and Light

April 30, 2024
Yolanda Scott, a radiant light in the lives of many, both within Foundations Health Solutions and beyond, left an indelible mark of positivity, encouragement, and boundless energy. In her more than 13 years serving the residents and teammates of Foundations Health Solutions, she wasn't just a colleague or a friend; she was an inspiration, a mentor, and a true beacon of joy.

When Yolanda departed from this world on April 1, 2024, she left behind a legacy of inspiration. Even in the face of cancer, which claimed her life not long after her retirement, she remained a beacon of strength and positivity, uplifting all who knew her. Her Celebration of Life service overflowed with attendees from her church, running clubs, and nursing homes, all deeply touched by her resilience and unwavering smile in the midst of challenges. As the photo albums and slide shows portrayed, she radiated the same warmth and joy in every moment captured.

"Yolanda was the encourager, the optimistic, glass half-full gal. She was very dedicated to her residents and her professional development. She was respectful and very energetic. She was authentic and proud of her accomplishments. She practiced what she preached with nutrition and fitness."

In her role as a Registered Dietitian, Yolanda didn't just provide nutritional guidance; she offered compassion, wisdom, and unwavering support to those in her care. Her approach was characterized by empathy, kindness, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others.

"Yolanda was one of the most kind, loving, and Godly women that I have ever met in my life. From the day that I met her, she was always smiling and laughing, and her smile was so infectious!"

Yolanda's impact extended far beyond the confines of her workplace. She touched hearts, lifted spirits, and left an indelible legacy of love and compassion. Whether she was cheering on her colleagues, sharing her expertise, or simply offering a listening ear, Yolanda had a profound effect on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

"She was very strong in her faith- gave back to her community through service. Her smile was contagious and she was FUN! She was a team player and never left a teammate behind."

Though Yolanda may no longer be with us in person, her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched and the hearts she forever changed. Yolanda may be gone, but her light will continue to shine brightly, guiding us forward with love, grace, and boundless inspiration.

"I was fortunate enough to have met Yolanda 10 years ago. I was a newer admin starting at a super tough nursing home and she was the seasoned pro there. Yolanda had this unique leadership talent that kept you calm - when the situation got tough, her smile just got bigger. That’s how she led. Not by fear, but by inspiration. She taught me that lesson again on the day of her funeral. I went in feeling sad that this whole situation seemed wrong. I left feeling inspired to leave an impact. To do more. To help more. And to bring hope to those around me."

Yolanda, you lived the good life. Like the many marathons you completed, you finished the race of life. And even in death, you found a way to inspire us once again.
