Building Community: Westlake Senior Center Chili Cook-Off

Foundations Health Solutions was honored to participate in the Annual Westlake Senior Center Chili Cook-Off. This event put on by the Westlake Senior Center welcomes members of the community to have a chance to taste and vote on their favorite chili, provided by local Assisted Livings and Skilled Nursing Facilities. There is a name drawing for community members, with a chance to win door prizes, such as gift cards and small items, all provided by the participating facilities. Community members have a chance to socialize during this fun event, while participating facilities have a chance to promote their services (especially their food!).



Chef Kristin Dyer from The Woods on French Creek cooked a six-pepper blend chili topped, with cheese and cornbread, while Jasmine from Huntington Woods and Bailey from Avon Place attended the event to pass out chili to those present. We provided information on our respective facilities, as well as promoted our new building opening soon in Westlake- Crocker Pointe. Community members were happy to participate and remarked how good Chef Kristin’s chili smelled and tasted.



A big congratulations to Chef Kristin- as her chili won first place, along with a big trophy! Thanks to the team, we were able to successfully promote our facilities (and chili) to show those in the community we will be there when they need a helping hand. A strong community is important and shows that we are one big family. Congratulations to the Westlake Team!
