Foundations Celebrates American Heart Month
February 7, 2022
The month of February is recognized as American Heart Month. This month is so important to our teams because it allows us to take a deeper dive and focus more on our cardiovascular health.
At Foundations Health, the well-being of our staff and residents are a top priority. Our teams are using this month as an opportunity to share tips on how to keep a healthy heart and reduce the risk of heart disease, the leading cause of death in the U.S.
Foundations' teams coming together to raise awareness for Heart Disease
On February 4, our teams wore red for National Wear Red Day to honor those we have lost to heart disease and raise awareness of the actions we can all take to prevent it. Devoting a little time every day to care for yourself can go a long way toward protecting your heart health.
Whether it be getting up and getting in some physical activity for the day or making sure you are getting the sleep you need, we encourage you to take action when it comes to your heart health. Make sure you are doing what you can to practice healthy heart habits. Click the button below to see The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute's self-care tips you can do at home every day.
